Young Entrepreneur Scheme - The Royal Society, London

Young Entrepreneur Scheme (YES) is an innovative global competition developed to raise awareness among postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers of how ideas from science and engineering can be commercialised.

Some of the Sequential team took part in the YES competition in 2017, they took home the top prize in Singapore and were awarded with business flights to London to present at the YES Finals at the prestigious Royal Society. The concept they presented was similarly in biotechnology, targeting the cosmetic industry, but for a different application. They received the “Most Innovative” prize for their business idea at the Royal Society, and got to practise pitching to VC investors and experts in the field.
